SEQ Survey Season is in full-swing

Reef Check Australia is busy planning and conducting surveys in SEQ. Since the beginning of October our busy volunteers have completed 12 surveys in SEQ, helped a lot by the fabulous weather in November. We've jumped right in to 2012 with 2 successful surveys completed at Curiumundi Reef over the first weekend in January. We had a lovely day on the water with smooth seas and plenty of sunshine!

Don't worry if you have not managed to come out on a survey with us yet, we are busy planning more surveys in the new year and there are plenty of surveys still to be done in SEQ.

Our team is also planning the survey season for the GBR which it hopes to start in February (weather dependent) so keep checking back to see what excting things we have planned for 2012!

ReefSearch Update

After receiving lots of positive feedback about the pilot program and some great suggestions on how to make it even better we are working on the next version and we hope to implement the program in-full next year. USC will be helping to investigate this feedback and reporting on recommendations. Stay tuned for updates here on the RCA website and like our new Facebook page to see more stories and photos from the team!
